Downtown Orlando Dining Scene Continues to Grow
September 12, 2026
ORLANDO, FL — Downtown Orlando's restaurant scene continues to expand, with new dining options opening along Church Street, Orange Avenue, and the surrounding downtown core.
The city's urban core has become one of Central Florida's most dynamic dining destinations, with a mix of established favorites and new concepts serving everything from farm-to-table American cuisine to international flavors.
Church Street remains a centerpiece of downtown dining, with its historic buildings housing a mix of restaurants, bars, and entertainment venues. Orange Avenue and the streets branching off it continue to attract new concepts as more residents choose to live in the urban core.
The growth reflects a broader trend of residential development in downtown Orlando, as more people choose to live near where they work and dine. New apartment and condo buildings have brought additional foot traffic to the area, supporting both new and established restaurants.
Thornton Park, just east of downtown, has also seen its dining scene grow, with a collection of neighborhood restaurants and cafes that complement the downtown offerings.
The continued investment in downtown dining comes as Orlando's broader culinary reputation grows, with the city increasingly recognized for its local restaurant scene beyond its well-known theme park tourism.
